Question by adventureluck: Truck driving jobs averaging 8 hours a day?
Are there any truck driving jobs that aren’t 11 hours a day or more?

Best answer:

Answer by J^3
Yes. However…

Truck drivers make money based on how fair they drive. It can be anything from 20 cents a mile to 50 cents a mile. The more time you spend driving, the more miles you cover. The more miles you cover the more you get paid.

Employers expect you to get a package from point A to point B in a reasonable amount of time, so if they’re paying the same money to a guy driving 11 hours a day to get it from point A to point B, why would they hire you for driving only 8 hours a day?
